Hello, all! Glad to see you here! My name is April (hence my username), and I have a love for many things, but we'll get to that later. So, a bit about me, eh? I am a Protestant Christian, and have been all my life. I volunteer at my church doing the lighting for the children's service, and at times do the other technical things such as running the computer or the soundboard. I have an amazing sister named Amanda, who is a culinary artist. Her food is soooo good! We spend a lot of time together(mostly watching animated movies-she LOVES disney). I have recently taken up knitting(again), and am working on mastering the art of scarf-making(mostly because I don't yet know how to knit anything else). I am a Trekkie and you will see a lot of Star Trek in the things I post(just a warning). I love The Original Series the best(NU!trek as well!), and TNG follows that. I have yet to fully see DS9, Voyager, and Enterprise, but plan to soon. You'll know when I do, since I'll most likely doodle it.

My apologies for not being on here at all since the fall, as I've been crazy busy with life and work and things, but mainly because now I've been posting my art on my new tumblr art blog, a-rich-metaphor.tumblr.com, and not on here anymore. Save for things that need to be uploaded here so I have a reference to upload it elsewhere. Heyooooooo, everybody!
SO first things first, I have an new art blog on tumblr, http://a-rich-metaphor.tumblr.com/ ! My old one wasn't getting much use, so I decided to scrap it and start new! I will still be posting here, of course, but mainly the new art blog is focused more around my original works and improvements(such as challenges) and the like, whereas my main blog holds most of my fanart(mainly Trek art), and on here it's a mix of everything! :)
AND I HAVE GREAT GREAT FABULOUS NEWS THAT IS NOT DECIDED YET BUT IS A VERY HIGH POSSIBILITY. Okay so, in my last journal, I said something about not being able to take classes this semester

Ever get those random good lines?

So I'm pretty sure I've talked with someone about this before, but every now and then I'll be drawing something, and I'll just quickly draw a line, and it comes out wayyy better than all the other ones that I spent more time on. I mean, I get the thing with the flow of the wrist but like /yo/ it's happening a lot more now. Which is good, just confusing a bit. Like in that one drawing I did of running(tripping) McCoy with asleep legs, the lines of his torso/shirt happened like that. And it came out a million times better and I loved it.
